Meridium looking for a Sr. Software Engineer

Sr. Software Engineer – Mobile Applications

Develops design specifications for components and subsystems within large applications. Works with others in a project team and participates heavily in construction (i.e. programming) activities. Works with others in the project team and participates in testing, documentation, and deployment activities. Works independently and leads all technical aspects of a project.

Responsibilities:

• Develop design specifications, using OOD techniques, for components or subsystems within modest to large Handheld, Web or Client-Server Enterprise Applications.
• Write clean, well documented code.
• Engage in effective unit and system testing.
• Understand complex software modules such as .Net, .Net Compact Framework, ASP and Core Frameworks.
• Work with Database programming including SQL Queries, read, writes and updates.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of mobile application development experience.
• Excellent understanding of Object Oriented Programming Principles.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (C#, C++, VB.NET, WPF, WCF, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, Silverlight, etc..)
• Experience with programming and consuming Web Services.
• Experience with Bluetooth, Barcode and RFID technologies.
• Worked on Windows Mobile is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Sync Framework or other Synchronization technologies is a plus.
• Experience with SQL and Database design.
• Strong communication and verbal skills.
• Experience coding a major subsystem such as a handheld application, web client or back-end coding.
• Working with Enterprise application product development.
• A good understanding of high-performance and scalable Enterprise systems.
• Designing, developing and delivering a 1.0 product in a startup environment.
• Demonstrated ability to follow mature software development practices.
• Track record on developing high quality product software on schedule.
